Our Human Resources Division (HRD) is currently recruiting for an HR Investigator that can work collaboratively with all levels of partners to ensure our employees are protected in the workplace.

Duties

As an HR Investigator you will spend much of your time conducting workplace investigations related to employee misconduct to include reports of discrimination, workplace violence, retaliation, sexual harassment, reasonable suspicion, theft, respectful workplace, and hostile workplace. This will include gathering, analyzing, and documenting evidence as well as conducting interviews. Based on your consultations with appointing authorities, managers, staff, and supervisors you will determine the scope and plan of investigations. Using your excellent writing you will then compose, investigation interview questions, investigation reports, and disciplinary letters.
 
Some of what you will do:

  • Ensure timelines are met and procedures are followed in investigations, both HR and Division led.
  • Independently compose and review written reports and correspondence.
  • Conduct technical training and workshops for managers and supervisors.
  • Provide interpretation and explanation of WACs, RCWs, CBAs, and Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications

What you will bring:
  • Six (6) years of professional relevant professional human resource experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience using Microsoft Suite office products including Excel, Work, One Note, Outlook, and Teams.
 
Up to five (5) years of relevant education* may substitute year for year for experience.
(Associates degree = 2 years Bachelor’s degree = 4 years Masters degree = 5 years)
*Relevant education will include a focus on business, human resources, social or organizational behavioral sciences, or related field.

Additional Conditions of employment:
  • This position is expected to work at a minimum two (2) days in-office or more as business needs arise.
  • The ability to travel statewide, sometimes overnight.
