Providence is calling for Principal Human Resource Consultant 100% Remote open to our 7 Footprints States: AK, CA, OR, WA, TX, NM or MT

The Principal HR Consultant (PHRC) is responsible for serving as a strategic consultant/subject matter expert to Area CHROs and Caregiver Relations Consultants who face complex employee relations matters where expert knowledge and assistance is needed. They are responsible for identifying and assessing situations for compliance and policy concerns and making recommendations for resolution.  In addition, the SHRC supports Labor and Employment Counsel in the investigation of legal matters, recommending and promoting consistent and best practice approaches to positive employee and labor relations, adherence to HR policies, compliance with regulatory and policy requirements and standards, investigations, review and oversight on Reductions in Force and project work. Additional areas of accountability include oversight on Caregiver Relations work product, mentorship of Caregiver Relations consultants, employee relations research, performance management consultations, identifying trends and patterns and need for critical intervention, labor relations research, dispute alternatives and policy development, effective record keeping, and data integrity. Provides SME expertise and appropriate competency-based systems to support appropriate process and protocol in adherence to regulatory requirements to include Federal and State employment, OSHA and other healthcare-related agency requirements. Maintains HR metrics and dashboards and reports out to other HR professionals so actions can be aligned with findings.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8 years experience in general human resources, or equivalent work experience, at exempt level, in multi-state/location, service line of business.
  • 8 years Demonstrated experience in the area of Employee Relations, Labor Relations, ADAAA, and leaves of absence.
  • Demonstrates advanced experience in one of the following specialty areas:  labor relations, ADAAA, Leaves of Absence, or mediation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Upon hire: HR Certification (SPHR, SHRM-SCP or PHR, SHRM-CP)
  • 5 years Project Management experience.
  • 5 years experience in the specialty areas of Drug Free Workplace, Compliance, Performance Management, ADA/LOA.
  • 5 years Supervision of Human Resources staff or equivalent work experience.
