Senior Salesforce Administrator - Remote PST

The Senior Salesforce Administrator at Ambry Genetics will serve as a key leader responsible for the architecture, optimization, and day-to-day operations of the Salesforce platform, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Service Cloud Voice, and Agentforce. This individual will lead configuration, support, and enhancements for a growing user base and ensure the platform effectively scales with evolving business needs. This role partners cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to streamline workflows, drive automation, and enhance user adoption across the Commercial and Digital Health landscape. The ideal candidate will also help drive continuous improvement of advanced tools to support our AI-enabled customer service strategy.

 Essential Functions

  • Act as the administrator for the Salesforce ecosystem, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and third-party integrations
  • Act as the primary administrator for the Salesforce ecosystem, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and third-party integrations
  • Design, implement, and manage scalable Salesforce solutions including custom objects, flows, reports, dashboards, page layouts, permission sets, and validation rules
  • Lead the administration and support of daily operations, user management, data hygiene, and security settings
  • Serve as a subject matter expert across business units including Sales, Marketing, Client Services, Finance, and IT to translate functional requirements into technical solutions
  • Own and manage the Salesforce release cycle, including sandbox management, change set deployments, and testing coordination
  • Maintain and enhance integrations with connected tools such as HubSpot, OwnBackup, Talkdesk, and others
  • Proactively research and assess new Salesforce features and releases; make recommendations to improve usability, performance, and functionality
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis of issues reported by users; provide Tier 2/3 support
  • Assist in AI and automation-related enhancements (e.g., Einstein, Service Cloud Voice) in alignment with business initiatives
  • Champion user training, engagement, and change management to maximize adoption and productivity
  • Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and training materials
  • Ensure platform scalability, compliance, and best practices in data security and governance. Support configuration, rollout, and enhancement of Agentforce and Service Cloud Voice, ensuring seamless integration into existing workflows and alignment with case management processes
  • Partner with customer service leadership to optimize omnichannel routing, voice transcription, AI call summaries, and follow-up automation capabilities delivered through Salesforce Voice
  • Monitor performance and user feedback from Service Cloud Voice tools to drive platform improvements and training opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or advanced degree in Computer Science (or similar relevant specialization) or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of Salesforce Administrator experience supporting an enterprise SFDC instance with 300+ users
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification required; Platform App Builder or Advanced Admin preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform configuration (Flows, Process Builder, Reports, Dashboards, Validation Rules, Permission Sets)
  • Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Salesforce mobile interface
  • Familiarity with integration platforms and APIs (e.g., HubSpot, Talkdesk)
  • Strong data management skills, including Data Loader, Excel, and best practices for data integrity and deduplication
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and project management capabilities
  • Salesforce Platform Administrator II certification (Developer certification preferred but not required)
  • In-depth knowledge of the standard capabilities of SFDC and have successfully expanded on those capabilities using custom code (Apex, s-controls) and integration with external systems
  • An understanding of Salesforce Declarative Programming and Administration (develop code, custom objects, Visualforce pages, Apex, reports, workflows and assignment rules)
  • Solid understanding of web technologies, such as HTTP, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, DHTML, CSS
  • Relational database experience (example: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server)

Preferred

  • Familiarity with basic web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus
  • Understanding of Apex, SOQL, and Visualforce is a plus (coding not required but advantageous)
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com application packaging and deployment is a plus

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
