Director of Marketing

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid or Remote)

Salary: Negotiable (starting at $130K but could be higher)


Our client, a technology-focused strategic advisory firm, is seeking a Director of Marketing to establish and lead its first centralized marketing function. This highly visible role will partner with senior leadership to drive demand generation, unify messaging, strengthen brand positioning, and support firm-wide growth.

The ideal candidate is a “builder-doer” — equally skilled in creating a strategic roadmap and executing hands-on marketing programs. This position offers the opportunity to shape marketing infrastructure, elevate brand impact, and define the next chapter of organizational growth.

Strategic Leadership: Build the firm’s first centralized marketing function, setting vision, priorities, and processes.

Growth Impact: Lead targeted demand generation, ABM, and digital campaigns to deliver measurable pipeline and revenue growth.

High Visibility: Collaborate directly with executives and senior partners to influence marketing and business strategy.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a centralized marketing vision aligned with revenue and growth priorities.

  • Build foundational marketing infrastructure including tools, workflows, budgets, and agency/vendor management.

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with leadership and practice teams to align marketing with business development, investment banking, and events.

  • Lead demand generation, digital marketing, ABM programs, and sales enablement efforts.

  • Manage content development across campaigns, case studies, newsletters, PR, and thought leadership.

  • Refine brand positioning and unify messaging across digital, social, and web channels.

  • Support event marketing through pre-event, in-event, and post-event strategies.

  • Strengthen partner and alliance marketing with major technology ecosystems (AWS, Microsoft, Google, etc.).

  • Oversee marketing operations, CRM, analytics, and martech tools to ensure measurable ROI.

  • Monitor KPIs (MQL to SQL to Pipeline to Revenue, CAC/LTV) and continuously optimize campaigns.



Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • 5–8+ years of marketing leadership in B2B or professional services environments

  • Proven ability to generate pipeline and align marketing directly to revenue outcomes

  • Strong experience in demand generation and ABM, using tools such as 6sense, Demandbase, or Bombora

  • Hands-on expertise with Salesforce, HubSpot/Marketo, Google Ads, SEO/SEM, and analytics platforms

  • Background in technology sectors (cloud, AI, data, cybersecurity) preferred

  • Track record of managing teams and agencies in a matrixed or global organization

  • Strong content development and brand storytelling ability

  • Data-driven approach to decision-making and campaign optimization
