Job Specification: Electrical Installation Engineer 

 

Job Summary 

Working on a variety of domestic and commercial electrical installation jobs. Works include installation of all types of electrical containment systems, inclusive of but not limited to, conduit, trunking, tray, and basket, wiring of all electrical circuitry and sub main cabling. 

  • Installation of all electrical containment systems  
  • Replacement and installation of SPN and TPN distribution equipment 
  • Mains and sub main cabling  
  • ELV and LV wiring  

The company will expect all jobs to be completed to a high standard with the job holder using all technical knowledge to do so. 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:  

  • Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and testing works as . 
  • Have a good understanding of electrical systems and be able to identify/ report faults. 
  • Interpret electrical / site drawings when necessary 
  • Ensure safe working procedures in accordance with the current health and safety regulations and all other relevant regulations. 
  • Fill out all paperwork and/or use the Oneserve Application accurately and in a timely manner 
  • Communicate with residents and clients when . 
  • Deliver exceptional customer service 
  • To undertake any training provided by the company 
  • To Support any business change for the benefit of the company  
  • Any ad-hoc duties as reasonably instructed by your line manager or directors

  • Quality of works produced  
  • To maintain company supplied equipment and PPE 
  • To maintain company vehicles and drive the vehicles in a safe manner 
  • To maintain a professional appearance wearing company supplies uniform and identification badge

  • Good understanding of electrical and building regulations.

Qualifications  

  • NVQ level 3 in electrical installation  
  • City and Guilds 2382-18 or equivalent 
  • ECS Gold Card 
  • Asbestos Awareness  

You must have held a full UK driving license for at least 12 Months

    Travel and Hours  

    In order to perform your duties, you may be asked to travel to locations around the United Kingdom to undertake assignments.  

    You will be required to work from Monday to Friday for 8 hours a day with an hour’s un-paid break, with the core hours of work being 8:00am to 17:00pm; however, timings can be made more flexible in certain circumstances. In addition to your normal hours, you will also be required to work overtime as dictated by the needs of the business, with reasonable notice. This could include un-sociable hours such as evenings and weekends.

    You will report to the Projects Supervisor
