We're looking for someone to join our team as a Manager, Enterprise Applications who:

Is responsible for overseeing the implementation, optimization, and support of enterprise-wide software applications, with a primary focus on the Epic System. This individual will manage a team of analysts ensuring the delivery of reliable and efficient application services that support organizational goals. The Manager will collaborate with cross-functional departments, vendor partners, and IT leadership to prioritize initiatives, improve processes, and align technology solutions with business needs.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage and lead the planning, implementation, and support of enterprise applications across the organization.
  • Lead Agile work planning, including backlog refinement, iteration planning, daily standups, and other Agile ceremonies to ensure team alignment and delivery.
  • Mentor analyst teams in business analysis, system design, and stakeholder communication to build skillsets and ensure high-quality solution delivery.
  • Is responsible for: new applications, modules, software installations, application upgrades, and day-to-day support work
  • Oversee projects or portions of projects as well as participate in the development of the departmental budget while managing and monitoring the approved budget. 
  • Manage a team of application analysts and support staff, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into system functionality and improvements.
  • Manage vendor relationships, service level agreements, and licensing for enterprise applications.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and IT, translating business needs into system functionality.
  • Manage daily operations of Enterprise applications including system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Build and maintain Enterprise applications forms, flowsheets, order sets, clinical decision support rules, and documentation templates.
  • Ensure application change control, testing, and documentation standards are maintained.
  • Oversee application lifecycle management, including upgrades, patches, and end-of-life planning.
  • Collaborate with IT Infrastructure, Security, and Project Management teams to ensure integration, data integrity, and security of enterprise systems.
  • Collaborate with clinical departments to analyze workflows and optimize EMR configurations to improve efficiency.
  • Use system data and performance metrics to guide configuration decisions and prioritize enhancements that deliver measurable impact.
  • Assist in developing and managing operating and capital budgets for enterprise applications.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process automation and system optimization.

You'll be successful with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Epic certification(s) or deep familiarity with core Epic modules (e.g., Ambulatory, Cadence, Prelude, Resolute).
  • Demonstrated experience driving organizational change through structured change control processes, stakeholder engagement, and communication strategies.
  • Skilled in coordinating release schedules, deployment planning, and ensuring system readiness through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Adept at identifying process inefficiencies and implementing technology-enabled solutions that streamline workflows and improve user experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise application management or IT project leadership
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, clinical terminology, and medical processes 
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams and complex application portfolios
  • Experience with software implementation methodologies and lifecycle management
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or similarly complex operational environment
  • Clinical experience strongly preferred, BSN or active RN license
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools, business intelligence platforms, or system integrations
  • PMP, CSM, CSPO, ITIL, or other relevant certifications
