Wolcen is looking for a passionate Narrative Designer, interested in working within a multi-cultural team and Unreal Engine 5 in our journey to develop our project. The ideal candidate is organized and self-motivated and must work well with others, enjoy, and seek out collaboration. This is a fully remote role, so you can be located anywhere in the European region.
What you will do as a Narrative Designer at Wolcen:
- Collaborate closely with the Game Director and assist in bringing the
game vision to life
- Work with the Design team to produce narrative that energizes with the
rest of the work, across their entire production cycle – concept, design,
implementation, tuning, live support
- Collaborate closely with the other teams & stakeholders to ensure the
features that the Design team are owners of are delivered within the
required quality and time expectations
- Assist the Game Director & Producers in planning, scheduling the work
and driving it to completion
- Support the Game Director by taking the game vision to heart and
evangelizing it to the Design team, as well as the rest of the stakeholders
- Contribute with ideas and improvement proposals, for features and
narrative that are aligned with, or strengthen, the game vision
- Be willing to put in work that might fall away during the iteration
process, give up ideas when the larger picture supports the game vision
What skills you will use:
- Strong experience in game development
- Good experience as Narrative Game Designer
- Strong communication skills
- Able to understand and share the vision of the game with stakeholders
(programmers, artists, producers, etc)
- Have a firm grasp on the editing and iteration process that goes into
Narrative Design, and the unique format of game narration
- Autonomous and oriented towards problem-solving
- Advanced English skills
