Position Summary:
Design and Merchandise Systems Technical Analyst is responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting the Centric PLM and supporting applications. The role focuses on supporting and optimizing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Merchandising systems. This involves gathering and analyzing business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and ensuring the PLM/Merchandising system effectively supports business processes. They also play a crucial role in system configuration, integration, and user support.
Responsibilities:
• Configure the PLM/Merchandising system to meet specific business requirements, often involving scripting or programming.
• Ensuring seamless integration of the PLM/Merchandising system with other enterprise systems, such as ERP, SCM, and PIM systems.
• Data management skills, including data modeling, data governance, and data analytics.
• Ensuring data accuracy and consistency within the PLM/Merchandising system and understanding data flow and rules.
• Conduct workflow analysis and assist in identifying recommendations in systemic and functional process flow.
• Configure/Program, test and deliver solutions.
• Conduct root cause analysis and provide solutions for production and development issues.
• Partner with business teams, internal IT team, and outside vendors to implement solutions.
• Communicate status of efforts (operational and project related) to cross functional teams/business partners on a regular and timely basis
• Actively seek out learning opportunities and experiment with new features/capabilities and/or technology to gain practical knowledge.
• Perform daily and periodic system administration functions to support assigned system.
• Assist with project scoping, planning, and scheduling.
• Able to provide support for assigned system, including evening and week-end on call assignments
Required Experience
• Prior experience in the retail industry is required
• Must have 5+ years' experience with PLM, Merchandising or ERP systems
• Must have strong technical knowledge related to Product LifeCycle Management, Design and Merchandising processes.
• Must have advanced knowledge in Microsoft SQL and other relational databases.
• Must have advanced knowledge in creation & modification of SQL scripts.
• Must have shell scripting, or OS level scripting experience with Linux, Microsoft or the ability to learn these.
• Must have experience developing EDI integrations.
• Excellent analytical skills, understanding of project lifecycles, and the ability to act in a self-directed manner is required
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with operational business users up to the leadership levels of the company is essential
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related technical discipline, or 5 years of related experience
The pay range for this position is $100,000 - 125,000 per year depending on relevant experience.
